There may be a few bumps as we move from Cece’s old hard-to-update site, to this new blog-based one.
Most of the good stuff here is going to be in the permanent pages, which you’ll see to the right under “Try These Links.” Hopefully, we’ll get most of the goodies from the old site here eventually as well as new stuff, but right now there are several things of lasting importance to western civilization, such as Skunk with Mustard.
Cece’s Art Gallery is still here.
The Sock Monkey creator should be up and running soon. If there’s anything else you miss from the old site, just let me know! In the meantime, you can follow the link to learn how to draw Sock Monkey by watching a short video clip of Cece drawing.

Cece recorded an interview today for our local public radio station’s arts program, Studio Virginia.

Focused on Bee-Wigged, but probably lavishing some attention on Famous Toy Actor Sock Monkey, the interview will air Nov. 20 at 7:30 on WVTF. (Check local listings.) You may be able to hear it over the Internets here: http://www.wvtf.org/

I snuck into a Cece Bell Author Visit at a school in Hopewell Virginia and got this shot of the kids learning to draw Sock Monkey. Here they are holding up their drawings for Cece to see…

And here’s one of the results… (1 out of about 400!)

Cece will be signing books — and that means drawing Sock Monkey in each one, too — at a big Virginia Tech YMCA Book Fair on Friday and Saturday. A few other area authors will be there, too.

Signed, personalized books make great presents — especially with an original drawing inside. If you can’t make it to the YMCA event, but would like a signed copy of a Cece Bell book, just let us know and we’ll make arrangements.
